Why is it taking so much longer for my pet to be seen now?

Please be aware that our medical team has been working very long hours under arduous conditions at increased risk to themselves and their family members, to provide care for your pets. This includes routine care as well as urgent illnesses & injuries. Your wait time to see the veterinarian will most certainly be longer than you have been used to in the past. Additionally, you will most likely be on hold longer than you would like when you call us. We are sorry, but this is something we cannot change.

I have my pet's medical records from our old vet. Should I send them to you?

Yes! Having your pet’s medical records will help us to provide complete care in the future.

Do you have wellness or preventive care plan?

No we don’t offer a pre-paid plan, however we do offer very affordable healthy pet preventive care diagnostics.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, we do operate by scheduled appointments to see your animal as your time is valuable and we don’t want you to have to wait. Unfortunately there are times that our Veterinarian may is dealing with an emergency and we ask for your patience in these situations. We also understand how busy life is, and do try an accommodate walk-ins as best as we can.

There is an additional fee for walk-in exams and there may be a longer wait time.

Can I fill out forms before my first visit?

Absolutely! Please visit our online forms page to fill out our forms prior to your visit at Animal Kindness Veterinary Hospital. You can find this in the menu under "New Clients".

How long does it take for my prescription request to be fulfilled?

Accepted Answer

At Animal Kindness Veterinary Hospital, Any prescription requests require 48 hours notice. This includes written requests or faxed requests from an outside pharmacy. Our team needs time to review your pet's medical records, the veterinarian must approve all requests, we may need to order your specific medication and our team needs to fill or sign the requests. The best way for you to ensure your pet gets the medication they need, when they need it, is to be proactive and allow us 48 hours to get it done. We have a daily charge of $6.99 for any written or faxed prescription. This is to offset the costs of paying our veterinarians and medical team who now work longer hours and stay late to take care of these requests. The sheer volume of pets we see during our regular appointment times typically doesn't allow for our veterinarians to review the medical records or team members to fill prescriptions during normal business hours anymore.

Are you accepting walk-ins at this time?

At this time, we cannot accommodate walk-in appointments at Animal Kindness Veterinary Hospital. Please call us to see if we can get you in for a same day appointment or drop-off appointment; however, we may not be able to accommodate your request. We will work at maximum capacity every day to ensure we can see as many patients as possible while giving our best care.

What is your cancellation policy?

At Animal Kindness Veterinary Hospital, All appointments must be cancelled with at least 24 hours notice. We are constantly receiving calls for same-day appointments that we often must turn away because we are usually fully booked each day. Therefore, when you don't cancel with enough notice, or don't show for your appointment, that time was wasted and could have been used by another pet in need. We charge $30 for each no-show or late cancelled appointment. If you have two no-show/late cancel charges on your account, you will have to pay those AND be required to pre-pay the exam charge for any future appointments you need scheduled.
